High School Program

AMerican School International Center (AMSIC) has established a partnership with schools in the United States. These schools offer school curricula program for students in 6th - 12th grade. These are college preparatory day schools program.

This program is designed to have students complete the "a-g" admission requirements of the University of California system. Virtually all courses, core and elective, are approved by the University of California.

  • * Only 4 units of Physical Education are required beyond 9th grade
  • English includes 2 semesters of United States Literature
  • 8 semesters of Mathematics (including Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2) is recommended
  • Lab Science includes Biology, Physical Science and Chemistry
  • 2 semesters / 1 unit of Computers or other college prep “G” elective

Honors Classes & Advanced Placement

The schools that AMSIC represents also offers honors course work in all academic and elective subject areas upon the approval of the director and the guidance counselor. Honors work substantially enriches the regular curriculum; students probe with greater depth and demonstrate a higher level of independent scholarship. Honors courses do not allow students extra time beyond the regular term. Additionally, advanced placement coursework and test preparation is available in foreign language subjects.

College Enrollment

Students enrolled in this high school program could be accepted into prominent colleges and universities in California and other states.
