Join our Vietnam Summer Program! Fully experience the beautiful country of Vietnam as you travel throughout the country, starting from South and moving North through the Capital, touching Saigon, Hue, Hanoi and everything in between. You will be able to observe the daily lives of the locals, as well as learn the historical and culture of the country through the help of provided guides and teachers. You will also be able to meet students from Pacific High School (www.phs.edu.vn) and participate in several smaller tours and excursions.

- 7:30AM Pick-up and travel to Cai Be
- Vinhlong Market - this is the best location for photo opportunities of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruit, vegetable and etc.
- Brick Kilns Boat Ride - mingle with local people and create beautiful pottery from clay.
- Nursery Garden Visit - meet with popular farmers � Mr. Tiger & Son who are very successful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy exotic fruits from his garden & homemade rice wine while listening to traditional music.
- Mekong Delta Boat Rowing - will take you deeper into the countryside through smaller canals to enjoy the magnificent sights. Traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves will be in view. We will work on activities with the local farmers and witness their day to day life catching fish or picking fruit in a time-honored way.
- Mekong Biking - on village paths to see the local farms, houses, and witness monkey in their natural habitat.
- Lunch at Mekong Delta - a Bac Sau Giao meal at a local home.
- Homestay Check in - opportunity to make friends with members of the local family. A chance to walk around the village or garden, and you can even cook your own dinner.
- Dinner paired with tea or rice wine will be served. Feel free to ask about the culture, people, and history of the Island. The local people are very open and love intimate conversations.
- Overnight Homestay in traditional stretcher bed.

- Cai Be Boat Trip - a colorful floating market, we will drift along local barges full of fruits and vegetables.
- Optional - stop can be made at local workshops watch demonstrations of the making of rice paste, coconut candy, pop-rice, and popcorn.
- Handcraft Village - witness how special products are made such as: rice-net for spring-rolls, fish sauce, soya sauce, cooking salt, coconut-leaves sewn together for cottage roofing.

- Ride a glass bottom boat to spot beautiful corals and fish

- Village Market Stopover and visit children from a local kindergarten
- Lunch at Riverside Restaurant with a calm peaceful setting

- Cham Museum - contains priceless objects which were brought from the Cham sites in Central Vietnam and Marble Mountain caves where there are Cham Buddhist, Confucian relics, pagodas and temples.
- Summit - reached through a warren of narrow chimney caves which ascend steeply.

- Hoi An Cooking class - for male and female, it offers a fun way to learn about the local cuisine. The demonstration takes about 1 hour � each person helps prepare the dishes and then sits down to enjoy the meal.
- Hoi An�s Colorful Market - pick up from hotel and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. Note: We will have a break to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
- Red Bridge Boat is where the cooking class takes place. The cooking lesson lasts for about 2 hours.

- Mausoleums of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh of the Nguyen dynasty ruled between 1802-1945

- 08:00AM Hanoi Capital Visit-after breakfast we abscond to a unique city with free-lined boulevards and French colonial architecture including:
- Temple of Literature to have an overview about Hanoi culture and history at the outset of the trip.
- Hanoi Fine Arts Museum to have an overview about Vietnamese contemporary art and its modern art development.
- Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, an imposing monument made of generous amount of marble and granite. This is where the preserved body of �Uncle Ho� may be viewed.
- The lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda in the form of a lotus, it emerges from the water and rests on a single stone pillar. It contains a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary �thousand arms and a thousand eyes�.
- The Hoa Lo Prison, known widely by the nickname �Hanoi Hilton? given to it by the Americans during the Second Indochina War, was a prison used by the French colonists in Vietnam for political prisoners and later by North Vietnam for prisoners of war during the Vietnam War.
- Lunch at Wild Rice Restaurant then continue the tour to observe the following:
- The Museum of Ethnology to enhance your understanding of Vietnam's diverse cultures through its unique presentation of daily life objects and dress.
- The Ngoc Son Temple and the Tran Quoc Pagoda.
- 1 hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake to witness the vibrant life of the local along the streets? sides.

- 08:15AM Depart Hanoi and head west towards Hoa Binh City
- Mai Chau Valley - climb towards the valley
- White Thai village of Lac Village
- Lunch-tasty local dishes cooked by the White Thai girls of the village.
- Afternoon Walk to surrounding village.
- Evening host will be the White Thai minority people. In sampling these people?s hospitality, we will find out a little more of their lives and cultures with a cultural exchange following the evening meal.

- Lac village and Van village-a lovely walk. Along the walk, you will encounter the local villagers going about their daily business tilling the fields, logging or herding the buffalo.

- 07:00AM Drive to Halong bay - enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and the village life.
- But Thap pogada - will stop en route to visit the most ancient and beautiful pagoda in the North.
- Halong - arrive around mid-noon, board a traditional private junk for a 5-hour cruise among the 3000 spectacular limestone islands.
- Lunch - seafood is served on board.
- Return to Halong Pier - depart to Hanoi.
- Arrive Hanoi late in the afternoon. Transfer to the hotel for check in.
